So I know that oatmeal is good for me but alone it does not have the kind of flavor that will keep me coming back to it. So since oatmeal is so cheap and so healthy I decided to play around and come up with a healthy and tasty oatmeal recipe that also adds a little fruit.
3/4 cup oats
1 cup water
1/2 cup blueberries
1/2 cup apple sauce
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Bring water to a boil and add oats. Then cook for five minutes. Turn heat down to low and add the remaining ingredients. Them cook for 3 more minutes. and enjoy. You can use frozen or fresh blueberries.
