wine and antioxidants

Red wine is full of antioxidants. It is a known fact that the antioxidants in red wine are heart healthy. Something about the mixture of the alcohol and the antioxidants are great for lowering your bad cholesterol. Drinking a glass of red wine a few nights a week good for you. I also believe that wine can improve your experience of the food you are eating. So as long as you are drinking that glass of red wine in moderation feel free to do so. If you don't want the alcohol in wine try concord red grape juice. If you don't want the calories in juice and the alcohol in wine then have green tea. These are excellent sources of antioxidants as well.

Sun brewed ice tea

So here is a perfect summer treat. As a kid my mom would do this all the time. I live in Phoenix and it gets so hot it takes no time to brew iced tea. So here is how to do it.

Find a glass jug.
Fill with water.
Use the amount of tea bags your tea requires for your container size.
Cover so no buggies enter your brew.
Leave in direct sun light for three hours.
Remove tea bags.
Refrigerate and enjoy.

This is easy and green because you are not using heat from electricity and since you do not use heat you do not heat up your house. When it is 110 degrees out I do not use the stove unless I really have to! Instead you are using solar heat. You can use any kind of tea you would like and later mix with juice, honey and lemons.
